Effects of Apple Cider Vinegar



Apple cider vinegar is known as the health vinegar and is the most popular in the natural health community.
It claims to provide benefits, good health and even cure diabetes.
But is this just another health fad?

I decided to do my research and actually began to incorporate apple cider vinegar into my daily routine. I have consecutively taken a tablespoon every morning before eating or drinking, and personally I think it amazing! I dilute my tablespoon with some cold water as the taste is pretty strong. It is also recommended to dilute the vinegar as it can often be too strong to tolerate and would also expose your teeth to a high amount of acetic acid.

Various scientific studies have proven that apple cider vinegar can aid weight loss, reduce cholesterol, lower blood sugar levels and help with digestion.

The main attraction for myself was to see if it would help my digestive system. With IBS, you often feel bloated & sluggish; so I hoped that this would help boost my metabolism and flush out any toxins or bad stomach bacteria.
At first the taste was totally vile & I knew it was one of these things I would do for a few days then fall away from but honestly the more you take it, the less you notice how horrible the taste is. Just drink it in oner!!!
To be honest it has been worth it so far, over the past two months my stomach has dramatically improved & I honestly believe it is because of this basic, yet effective health product.

I know that two months will not provide complete results, so I am going continue to take apple cider vinegar every day & hope that things further improve.

Other ways to incorporate Apple cider Vinegar into your diet
  1. Tea: Add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to boiling water, with lemon juice & some honey for sweetness. 
  2. Smoothies: Another great way to sneakily incorporate apple cider vinegar into your diet is adding it to a green/fresh fruit smoothie.
  3. Salads: Mix the vinegar with some lemon juice, olive oil & ground pepper to dress your salad.
  4. Tablets: You can actually buy apple cider vinegar capsules from local health food stores which you take daily. 
Please note, when purchasing apple cider vinegar be cautious when choosing a brand, as it is important that its contains "the mother" (a layer composed of yeast & acetic acid bacteria).
